We left Jasper this morning with some mild trepidation about the route we had chosen to take to Dawson Creek. Instead of the more traveled route 43, we took rout 40 from Hinton to Grand Prairie, Alberta. This a mainly a logging road that cuts off some miles, and it was very scenic, but a steady rain for most of the way made it more difficult.
We arrived in Dawson Creek, British Columbia about 4 pm (or maybe 3 pm--there is some issue here about daylight savings time, Pacific Time, and Mountain Time, so we are not at all sure what time it is). We got settled in at the Northern Lights RV Park, had happy hour, then treated ourselves to a trip to the local Wal-Mart. Tomorrow is a sightseeing day, but I had to share what we saw on the way to Dawson Creek!
